Solar 3.0 -A National Platform for Process Innovation
Dave Clements, IAEI and Jeff Fecteau, UL will discuss IAEI’s ongoing involvement in the U.S Department of Energy’s SunShot Program, and its commitment to the development of the Solar 3.0 platform. IAEI, UL, the U.S. Department of Energy (DoE), Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) and many other national partners will be targeting PV markets through outreach, new and improved processes and training both online and onsite that will help facilitate the safe and NEC compliant installation, and inspection of PV systems both Residential and Commercial.

The Panel will consist of seven members, all nationally recognized NEC CMP members.
Performing Electrical Calculation based on the NEC – An Interactive Session
Phil Simmons will lead an educational program on performing electrical calculations in accordance with the NEC. The program will be interactive with individuals and groups participating in completing calculations of electrical systems.

Take this opportunity to learn an approach to plan review and ask questions that will benefit your ability to efficiently and effectively complete a electrical plan review.
2014 National Electrical Code – A Review of Key Proposed Changes for the 2014 NEC
Tim McClintock, Don Iverson, Mike Johnston, and Chad Kennedy will review key proposed changes for the 2014NEC.
Western Section 2014 NEC Comment Review and Approval
The Section will review code comments submitted by you and consider supporting them as IAEI comments. Comments must be endorsed by a Chapter and Submitted to Mike Forister no later than August 1, 2012 for consideration.

Charlie Trout Code Breakfast
Attendees will be seated in teams of 10 during breakfast and will apply the 2011 NEC in order to answer a set of prepared questions. Prizes will be awarded to top three teams.
Complying with the 2011 NEC General Raceway Requirements
Dick Loyd a long-time veteran of NEC CMP-8 will provide you with an understanding of the general requirements that apply across the raceway requirements in NEC Chapter 3.
The 2011 Western Section Annual Meeting will offer 16 hours of instruction and attendees will be awarded 1.6 CEU’s.
