E Scott Weaver

Scott Weaver serves as the Building and Code Administrator for the City of East Lansing Michigan. Scott recently became an Adjunct Associate Professor at Lansing Community College in the electrical technology department. He started in the electrical industry in his senior year in High School through a work program that earned class credits along with electrical skills.
Scott went on to become a Master Electrician, Electrical Contractor and then an Electrical Inspector in 1999, and a member of the IAEI Michigan Chapter in 2000. He holds the ICC Residential and Commercial Electrical Inspector, along with the State of Michigan Electrical Inspector registration he also holds an electrical plan review and Building Official registration. Scott also teaches Code update classes as required by the State of Michigan.
Scott currently serves as the Chair of the Electrical Administrative Board and the Construction Code Commission for the State of Michigan.
Scott has served as the past President of the IAEI Michigan Chapter and continues to serve as the treasure. Scott is the current 2023/2024 president of the Western Section IAEI.
Scott is married to Laura and will soon be celebrating 41 years of marriage, they have three children and 8 grandchildren. They presently live in Sunfield, Michigan and spend the weekends with family and friends at their cottage.
